I found UGS during the 30 day quarantine videos. I thought it was amazing that a guitar teacher would do that. I signed up for UGS 30 after seeing his motivational videos. Then I found out he offered a free lifetime membership to veterans and couldn't pass that up! I'm so thankful for the program and recommend it to anyone that shows any interest in playing the guitar.
When I was able to pick the guitar back up at the age of 51, I did trial runs of the various internet-based instructors out there. While there are other quality ones out there, Your Guitar Sage's approach really agreed with how I like to receive information. He has a great blend of incredible knowledge and teaching ability, and you can tell he is a student of how people learn and are motivated. His thirst for improvement is real, and appreciated. Erich's program was the first one I tried out, and the last one I'll need.
Erich helped me find my "why", then helped tremendously with my "how". I guess the "when" was up to me. The UGS curriculum is well ordered and easy to understand, especially with all the pdf and gpx files. All said, he's the only instructor that's ever been able to reach me. Go PRO + 365!
I started UGS 5 years ago through Udemy.com but I didn't get down to business until a couple of years ago. I went all in and have made huge progress!! Although my journey is still new, I can confidently say 'I play guitar' because of this program. The community has become family. This is by far one of the best things in life that has ever happened to me!!! Thank you all so much! I am eternally grateful!!
I'm 69 years young. Erich's guitar system revived my love for the guitar. I started over and have been at it for a month. I actually miss not getting in my daily practice. As a 100% disabled Navy veteran , this course is one of my joys.
The magic with Erich is that he has a step-by-step process for leading you on your journey, and he understands the psychological aspect of learning, and keeps personally encouraging you to keep putting one foot in front of the other! I am now able to express through my guitar my feelings, and share my growing love and knowledge of guitar.
At 64 I'm betting on the chance that it's never too old to learn new tricks. I've dabbled at other online guitar instructions but they have never motivated me like Erich has. I seem to connect with Erich's demeanor and approach to learning the guitar. I completed the 30 free lessons, then the $1 for the first month trial, and then I was hooked. I subscribed to the UGS Pro Lifetime. I think I've graduated from the "accomplished beginner" and moving forward to the intermediate level. I like most the plethora of YouTube videos and ebooks
